NOTE:  INITIAL TRAINING (2-5 days); RECURRENT TRAINING (1-3 days)

Participants in Caverton Training Organisation Dangerous Goods Regulations training will be equipped with training and skills necessary to recognize dangers, and apply legal requirements, operational restrictions, and documentation pertaining to acceptance, safe handling, storage and transport of dangerous goods by air. Consequently, the depth of training provided by the Caverton Training Organisation will depend on the operational responsibilities of personnel involved.

This includes personnel of shippers, freight forwarders, postal operators, airline operators and others involved in any capacity in the handling of passengers, baggage or freight. The following template (wherever applicable) in IATA DGR 1.5.2. applies for Initial and Recurrent training offered by Caverton Training Organisation:

  1. General Familiarization DG Training – aimed at providing familiarity with the general provisions.
  2. Function Specific DG Training – This provides detailed training according to prescribed syllabi for the requirements applicable to the job function of the person – commensurate with their responsibiities.
  3. Safety Training – covering all hazards presented by dangerous goods, safe handling and emergency response procedures.
