Caverton Helicopters had the honour of playing host to the Honorable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo SAN, CON, FCIArb (UK) and delegation from the Aviation Ministry on Friday, Oct 13, 2023.
He was received by COSG senior management led by the CEO, Mr Bode Makanjuola, the COO, Mr. Rotimi Makanjuola as well as other Directors. The visit gave the Minister an opportunity to tour the Caverton Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility, as well as the Caverton Aviation Training Centre (CATC) where the Honorable Minister did a flight session on the AW139 Helicopter Full flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD), the very first in the African Continent
At the end of the tour of facilities, the Hon. Minister expressed his satisfaction with the state of the facilities which he described as world-class and lauded the company for the giant strides it is making in engineering maintenance, training and safer operations, which has put the Nigerian Aviation Industry on the global map. “When you are good, you want everybody to come, see you and look at what you are doing” the visibly excited Hon.Minister enthused.
The Honorable Minister was later presented with a Helicopter and Simulator Model as well as presented with a certificate as Honorary Captain of the AW139 Helicopter by the Managing Director / Accountable Manager of the company, Captain Ibrahim Chafe Bello.
